I haven’t been feeling very Christmasee…..well, geez, Thanksgiving was just a week ago, who could blame me right. My homemade goodness will not nearly be as abundant this year. Just not feeling it. My array of gift givees will probably be cut drastically too.
December starts tomorrow. In 25 days I hope I can find some joy.
If I can finish this project that I have started (yeah!!) that will be a start.

So I signed up for my first swap in a while…..

Another year gone by……(the oldest knows my real age, but you can’t break her).
The blog is 2. Two years old. I know, I know, I was MIA for a bit………………I had a sabbatical as a matter of speaking. A time for reflection, restructuring, and personal development. Two years ago I wasn’t drawing giraffes or even my kids.

Okay, there has been some recent awareness, recalls and warnings of toys containing lead. I have used this knowledge to my advantage. I guess I have scared the kids enough with almost anything plastic, certainly the fast food toys and whatever else I deem to be unimportant in their lives to contain lead, therefor it is unhealthy to have around. This has been a great motivator for them to discard, weed out, declutter some toys……they are pack rats.
So the other day, George found some expired nebulizer treatments tucked into a corner in my closet. 
(His sister was prescribed this when she was very young). No they do not contain lead, and are harmless when they accidentally get opened and touch the skin. But he didn’t know that. And he kind of had a melt down. I found out what happened when I saw him feverishly scrubbing his hands. This is also a wake up call that there are no hiding places with out a lock and key anymore……
He got over it pretty quick, and as coincidences go, he was prescribed a nebulizer treatment a few days later. He told the doctor all about it……payback’s a bitch.
